Recorder records captured video and audio into video or audio files. Output file format depends on the selected [[Capture_mode|capture mode]] when recording starts. If ''Screen'', ''Area'', or ''Device'' capture as if the mode is selectedcaptures video, an '''mpeg4''' video output file (.mp4) gets is generated since , otherwise, the output will contain only audio. If ''Audio'' capture mode is selected, an '''mpeg4 audio''' file (.mp4a) gets generated. Output files are compatible with almost any player and editor software.
